The Island

The Island by Angie Lewin took shape from one of the artist's original linocuts, made in response to a crossing between mainland Scotland and the Isle of Harris, undertaken during one of Lewin's many trips to the Outer Hebrides. Holding onto the rhythm and structure of the original print, The Island speaks to the artist's enduring fascination with coastal landscapes and island flora, and is part of the St Jude's collection of artist-designed textiles.
