The Island fabric
Colourway: Grey/Gold
The Island by Angie Lewin was developed from one of the artist’s original linocuts. Printed in warm grey, gold and black on pale natural linen, the design draws inspiration from a crossing between mainland Scotland and the Isle of Harris, undertaken during one of Lewin’s many trips to the Outer Hebrides. Retaining the rhythm and structure of the original print, The Island reflects the artist’s enduring fascination with coastal landscapes and island flora. The design forms part of the St Jude’s collection of artist-designed textiles.
