Herring Moon by Jonathan Gibbs was developed from an original wood engraving and draws upon the artist’s experience of living and working on the east coasts of Scotland and England. Printed in deep blue and ochre on off-white cotton, the design retains the character and texture of the original engraving, bringing together maritime influences, landscape and pattern. Curated as part of the St Jude’s collection of artist-designed fabrics, Herring Moon reflects Gibbs’s enduring connection to the coastline and its working communities.

Ordering part of a metre?
Online, fabric can currently only be ordered in whole-metre units. If you'd like a specific part-metre length (for example, 3.7m), please contact us by email and we'll arrange a custom invoice for you. Our minimum order per fabric is 1m.
