Sahara wallpaper
Colourway: Original 1927 colourway
Sahara by Edward Bawden reflects the artist’s ability to transform observed landscapes and architectural forms into decorative pattern. Printed in the original colourway, the wallpaper retains the character of the original artwork while drawing upon impressions of North Africa and the Middle East. Created by one of Britain’s most influential twentieth-century artists, the design demonstrates Bawden’s distinctive approach to combining observation, printmaking and decoration. The design forms part of the St Jude’s collection of artist-designed wallpapers.
