Wren fabric
Colourway: Ochre
Wren by Mark Hearld was developed from a hand-carved linocut inspired by a visit to Paris and the eighteenth-century French decorative papers featured inPapiers Dominotés Français. Printed in earthy golden ochre on chalk linen, the design brings together birds, foliage and flowing ribbon-like forms within a richly patterned repeat. Retaining the character of the original print, Wren reflects Hearld’s fascination with the meeting of natural forms and decorative design. The design forms part of the St Jude’s collection of artist-designed textiles.
